These corn chips were popular back in the 90s- early 2000s, but were discontinued. About a year ago they brought the classic chips back. Since Doritos are one of my favorite chips, I really wanted to try the 3d crunch chips since I had never tried them before they were taken off the shelves. They are not actually tortilla chips, but corn chips, so the texture of these is closer to something like Fritos or bugles, although they still have the same familiar flavor of Dortios. I got the chili cheese nacho flavored ones, so they are a little spicy, it is a good mix between chili cheese fritos and nacho cheese flavored Doritos. They have more of a crunch than tortilla chips. The chips are smaller than traditional Doritos chips, and they are puffed up, like they are in 3d. I will definitely eat these chips again because of their crunchy texture and bold nacho cheese flavor.
As of right now they have two flavors, chili cheese nacho flavored and spicy ranch-flavored Dortios chips. I got a 6-ounce bag of the chili cheese nacho chips for $3.00, so the price is pretty good value for the amount of chips that come in each bag. These chips are very addicting and delicious, great for lunches, parties or anytime. They are light and airy, the perfect snack to watch a movie with, with the cheesy spicy flavors and crisp texture.
